Getting around Belek

By dolmus: Dolmuses (or mini buses) make it easy to get around the resort and nearby towns. They’re reliable and affordable, and you can hop on and off whenever you like.

By car: If you want to explore Antalya, hiring a car is a good idea; the roads tend to be well maintained and signposted, so it’s easy to get out and about. Driving is also the simplest way to get from the airport.

By taxi: Taxis are readily available in the resort and can be handy for short journeys. Licensed taxis run on a meter, and prices go up at night. You can also book in advance. 

Events in Belek

For music and art lovers: The Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival is one of the most popular events in the region. Held every June, it takes place in the Aspendos amphitheatre (around 30 minutes’ drive away), which is one of the world’s best preserved ancient theatres. Can you imagine a more magical setting for a celebration of music and dance?

Culture festival: Visit in September and you can experience the International Culture and Art Festival. Held in the city of Side (around an hour’s drive from Belek), the streets are alive with free concerts, performances, and live music for 10 days. When the sun goes down, evening performances take place in the breathtaking Temple of Apollo.

Comfortable highs of 25 (°C) make spring the ideal time to hit the manicured golf courses. By July, temperatures can hit 30°C and beyond, and you can soak up a whopping 14 hours of sunshine a day on the beach. Autumn temperatures hover in the mid to high 20s, and it’s still warm enough to enjoy a swim. Even in winter, average temperatures are in the mid-teens, but rain is more likely at this time of year.
