Marti Resort

Built in 1967 as the first resort hotel in Turkey, the 5 star Marti Resort promises a luxury holiday experience. It houses over 280 rooms, 14 suites and 12 villas in buildings which incorporate aspects of traditional Mugla architecture. You can start enjoying yourself before you even see your room, as you’ll be handed a welcome cocktail on arrival. The hotel is set in Icmeler, known for its mesmerising Blue Flag beaches, pine forests and fantastic views across the Aegean.\n\nMarti Resort boasts two large pools, plus a separate area for little ones to splash around in. If you prefer to swim in the open water you may opt to go in the Aegean from the 115m long bay. The Mini Club keeps the 4-11 year olds entertained, while 7-12s benefit from complimentary tennis lessons. Children can also choose their favourite foods from the kids buffet. For the youngest guests there’s milk, hot water and purees, while bottle warmers are also available.\n\nThe fully equipped spa has separate areas for male and female guests with features including Turkish Hammams, Jacuzzis® and an indoor pool. An extensive range of massages and treatments are available to book. Prefer to remain active? You’ll be spoilt for choice, as the options include nature walks, aquafit, scuba diving, windsurfing, banana boating, beach volleyball, bowling and many more. The evening entertainment programme includes Turkish nights, karaoke, live music, retro parties and much more. The children can enjoy shows targeted at them and a mini disco.\n\nKapadokya is the hotel’s buffet restaurant, boasting a terrace offering spectacular views. The breakfast service caters for both early birds and sleepy heads, while a late dinner service is offered from 11:30pm to midnight. For an additional charge, you may choose to order your favourite Italian dish from the menu at the a la carte Mimoza. For a hot drink or sweet treat there’s the Patisserie, while the poolside Otag Snack Bar dishes up lunches, light bites and beverages. When you’re after a refreshing drink there are further options in the form of Casanova (open 10am-1am) and in the magical surroundings of Oriental (open 6pm-1am).\n\nThe air conditioned rooms all include a balcony, safe, satellite TV and a separate bath and shower. Deluxe Suites boast a massive 58m2 of space, as well as a living area. While the Villas provide the ultimate in luxury with a hydro-massage Jacuzzi®, fireplace and a fully equipped kitchenette.\n\nWhile there’s plenty to see and do in the resort, there’s a variety of interesting places to explore as well. At Marmaris Honey House (10km away) children can learn about the hard work bees put into producing the sweet substance. The beautiful Cleopatra Island is around half an hour from Marti Resort. Its beach houses an array of seashells. To escape the crowds head to the Bozburun Peninsula, with its steep rocky mountains and historical relics. It is even possible to do a day trip to the Greek island of Rhodes - just remember your passport.
